TEENSTHINK ESSAY COMPETITION-LEADERSHIP IN A CHANGING WORLD
The pilot activity for TeensThink is an Essay Competition titled – Leadership In A Changing World. The idea behind this initiative is to kick start our teenagers to get the best out of life through adequate knowledge on things like career, leadership, tackling challenges, and many more, through writing. Only students in JS 3 and S.S,1 will engage in this Pan Nigeria competition. A Digital campaign will be used to raise awareness and entries will be submitted on the event website. Entries will open on Monday, February 15th, 2021, and end on March 29th, 2021. Independent jurors of seasoned educationists and Education editors will verify, collate, and assess the entries. Ten finalists will be selected and announced for a grand finale event in May 2021, where prizes will be presented.
The grand finale event will hold at Raddisson Blu Isaac John, Ikeja. Finalists will come with their headteachers, parents/guardians. Participants will also be randomly selected to attend the event. Others will include government dignitaries in the education sector, education enthusiasts, young entrepreneurs, authors, etc.
Side attractions at the event will include special appearances of teens with special skills and talents.
Winners will go away with prizes ranging from cash, laptops, educational games, books to merchandise products from sponsors.
The event will also witness raffle draws where different prizes will be won.
